"God enters by a private door into every individual."
- Ralph Waldo
What a powerful quote that can be. What it really means to me is that God comes to us in so many different ways and once he has entered our lives it is important that we never let him go. With this quote in particular though the idea is that God can come to us when we least expect it and in so many different ways. It can be when we have hit rock bottom and don't know where to go. It could be when we have an illness and start praying for help and recovery. God can come into your life when you least expect it and can also leave your life when you least expect it. The above quote is speaking about how God comes into your life and every person lets him in in a different way at a different time. I think that the door the Waldo is referring to is the heart. It is a universal part of every person, but it is also the most private part of every person and it is through this "opening" the God can reach us and can enter our lives. It is our own private door into our soul and into our body. It is what we treasure most and what we protect at all costs. The heart allows things to enter and to be rejected and it is in control of all of our feelings. Since it is the most powerful organ in our body it is only natural that it be in charge of letting God in and allowing him to take residence in our souls, in our heart and in our minds.
